SAME DIFFERENCE, a joke act? Nu-uh, don't think so!!!

Howdy all!!!

I'm backkkkk... after less than 24 hours :p well, my holiday is going to come to an end very soon; thus, I shall post as much as possible while I still have the time ^.^ Owh, I'm very proud to announce that I 've joined some new social networking websites. Okay so that's for the housekeeping (lol, quoting my professor at uni); now let's get on to the real stuffs!

Today's post is about one of my favourite group singing act of all time, it's called Same Difference (what a clever name, don't chu think?). Well, it's a British (yeayyyy for the accents) Bublegum-Pop duo consisting of siblings, Sean and Sarah Smith.
First of all, I have to tell you. They rise to stardom when they compete in a very popular singing competition in the UK, the X-Factor on its 4th season. A lil fact for you guys, this season, I personally think that the music genre of its contestants is not of the main-stream one. The winner of this season, sadly wasn't Same Difference, it was Leon Jackson. Not taking anything from him, I think he's great, but his jazzy style doesn't suit the taste of "commoners?". You know what I mean. And, the runner up was Rhydian Roberts used to be an opera singer. It's hard to chew as well >.< so there you know now...
Having said that, this sibling act totally captivates my heart from the day they audition. The judges were extremely "harsh" on em in which I partially agree, their act is so unique that I don't think it kinda fit typical X-Factor. Despite of that, I'm so glad that they let this sibling through. Everything about em (corkiness, cheesiness, extreme enthusiasm or anything like that) makes me smile all day! They sang ... er... I don't know what song is that but it's totally full of energy don'tcha think?
Despite of the shaky start, they manage to get through to the judges house and guess who is their mentor? the Mr. Nasty man, Simon Cowell! hahaha... I thought they were never gonna make it, but then again I might be wrong as he actually liked em. I love Simon now ^.^ He definitely has good eyes. The siblings sang to classing song "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now". Perfect song choice, they actually have a pretty good voice rite! I could listen to em all night long no problem.
Okay, so here's the deal, I can't find the clip that only shows their performance, but I manage to find a clip that that has every group's performance on the judges house. Now that I think about it, some of you might not familiar with the X-Factor concept, so I better put it down the complete clip to give you a bit of knowledge bout this show! I will put the result as well to show you why I love reality show so much. Look at their reaction, it's full of drama!!!

To cut things short, they manage to be the Simon's final three, which simply means, they are going to the live show (yep, LIVE as in No Room for Error anymore). For the first live show, they sang "Tragedy". Not a big fan for this one, but I still love em! Owh, and guess what! more drama. Louis is the one giving the siblings a hard time this one & he's just overdid it. I know they are not the best singers in the competition, but he was way too harsh (and bear in mind, he's going to get harsher and harsher).
2nd live show! OMG they sang one of my favourite musical song of all time. Yep, from the hugely successful Disney's Original Movie, High School Musical's Breaking Free. This is getting interesting!
I think this is the right direction for them. Teenagers or in some case, childish person (ME :p) who absolutely adores movies like this are the perfect target market for em. Good move Mr. Cowell! watch the their performance HERE. Now, for the 3rd one, they sang S Club's Reach. Frankly, I did not know this song before they sang it. Now that I know, I just love, love, love this song and the original group. Full of energy, highly complicated choreo, it's just simply fun, fun, fun!!! It makes me smile for days!
The next one is a song that I would call, 'contradiction' song. The title of the song is "I Don't Feel Like Dancing" but you will be lying if your feet doesn't move at all after hearing the song. Once again, I never heard the song before, but after I heard it, I just fell in love with it. In my opinion, I think their version is better than the original. This song is so catchy and so Dineyesque (which I adore so much) that it actually makes me super duper excited. Owh, have I told you guys I kinda have excitment-controls problems? well, it just basically mean you should definitely know when I get super excited as I kinda shows it in such obvious way. Well, not much, just giggling non-stop, slapping my knees, kinda jump up and down and sometimes, hyperventilates :) anyway, here we go:
Owh I will not post all of their performance btw, I will only post like the one that I like (almost 3/4 tho, LOL). I will skip to the performance where they showcased their best vocal ability, which is their judges house's performance. watch Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now live version! Next, is my favourite song from them, the S Club's Never Had a Dream Come True. I cried like a baby watching this. It's just so emotional, seeing Sarah coping up with bullying T.T Owh, and on this occasion, I would also like to say
something about bullying. It has to STOP guys. It's not funny when you bully someone. You never know that certain someone that you bully might take it too seriously and decide to end up their lives just because of the supposedly "little prank" that you did. Well, lemme tell you right now. It's not little at all. I  was also a victim of bullying. I got bullied when I was in elementary High School because I was so chubby and unattractive. I didn't let it get to me at first, but it kinda did over time and believe it or not, it affects me so much. Luckily people stop bullying me shortly after, but I kinda know how the victims of bullying feel! So please, I encourage you to stop bullying. If you see anyone get bullied, please don't just stand there (esp if they are children). Rather than bullying someone your life would be better off if you do something more productive. Please think about it peps!
So, as if you guys watch all of their live performance. You should know that Louis Walsh really hated em. He even said that they're not gonna be in the final (Ouch!). Well, you know what, they were in the final. They managed to survive week after week till the final week and they so deserved that, they've worked really hard in my opinion. Okay so for the final, one performance that catch my interest is "Any Dream Will Do" duet with Jason Donovan. Why? well this performance has kids in it, literally. They bring bunch of kids holding candles on the stage. That was like killer, wasn't it? You don't have a heart if you don't vote for em.
Well, so basically they didn't win (too bad) but hey they got signed a record deal, which basically means that they would have an album to release and depending on the success of the album, they could release more albums in the future with the same record label. Fast forward to a year later, their much anticipated album (at least by me) is released and titled, Pop!
Why? cuz it contains pop songs. hahaha... Anyway, I loveeeeeee this album to death. I could listen to every track of the album again and again and again without being bored. Well, what can I say, I just love em. They got to perform on the X-Factor again to promote their debut single (YEAY!!!), We Are One which I think have a really, really good choreography.
Plus in addition to that, they got a "sincere" apologise from  Louis Walsh! (OMG, I'm so freaking happy when he said he was wrong and would buy the single and the album when it came out, dunno if he did it tho :p).
This song is so High School Musical-uesque, which I like... a lot!!! Every single songs in the album really catches my heart. I just can't stop listening to it. However, there's one song that I think have a very funny lyrics. When I posted some of the lyrics on my facebook, one of my friend asked whether I wanted a wife?!? LOL, so hilarious!!! So here is the song, I Need a House.
Having said all of that, my favourite track would be the slow, heart-felt last song on the album "I'm Still Amazed". I could cry to thing song all night long! hahaha... but then my eyes would be awfully dry >.< I guess I shouldn't listen it all night long then :)
Owh these are all just samples, you have to buy their CD if you really like what you hear. Buy it at AMAZON now. Unfortunately, their debut album wasn't a big success, they got parted ways with their label but luckily got signed to another label ^.^ (Yeah, meaning new albums)!!! and yes, they manage to release their sophomore studio albums! This time their music is more mature than their debut album, but still bubblegum pop oriented! Their second album is titled, The Rest is History. Lemme tell you something, their second album is as good if not better than the first one. I just love, love, love it!!! hahahaha... I got addicted to their music!
Again, every track is like gold to me. I would listen to em on countless repeats!!! The debut single from this album is, Shine on Forever (Photo Frame). However, for me although it's a really good song and good choreo I must say, I like the other songs on the album better. Therefore, for samples purpose, I would not choose their debut single as sample. Instead, I will choose the title track, The Rest is History as the sample as I think it has more emotional quality. So, here goes nothing!
Next, I will go with more faster pace song alias dance themed song, Karma Karma featuring Alcazar. OMG, I just can't help dancing to this catchy song :p hahahaha... Oo, Oo, OoOooooooO, Oo, OoooOoooo... well you get the picture ^.^ Enjoy!
Well I don't think this album did very well. But I really hope they get to release another album. I just love em so much, I cannot think what I will become without their songs (pure exaggeration :p). Please, please, please release another album!!! Anyway, like always, please buy this album if you really like it at iTunes or AMAZON.

Well, I guess that's it for today. I will be absent again for quite some time as I will be busy studying trying to get the Bachelor title at my young age :p (anyone smells pride?!?) hahaha... It's been fun making this post, I hope you like it and it will be my pleasure and honour if you also like this duo just as much as I do!!! They deserve it guys! Please support them by buying their albums!!! See ya guys!!! Please comment, rate and subscribe (eit, isn't that for Youtube :p) well, you know what I mean!!! hehehehe... Love ya!

"I Need Someone Who Loves Me"
